Abstract

This article focuses on three recent narrative texts that deal with Peruvian social memory related to the political violence between Shining Path and the Peruvian state: El cerco de Lima by Óscar Colchado, Eléctrico ardor by Dany Salvatierra, and La pasajera by Alonso Cueto. The article explores the ways in which transitional justice issues are represented, especially when the work of the state is considered insufficient.
