In light of the postulates of Jaleh Mansoor (2016) in Marshall Plan Modernism, and Paul Ginsborg (1990) in Italy. Society and Politics 1943-1988, this article inquires into how the social, political, and economic history of Postwar Italy emerges in Eielson's cultural essays of the 1950s. From this review I propose that Eielson resolves the tensions produced by the Italian miracolo from a return to historical and cultural memory in the terms of the Gruppo Origine.
