¿Muerte de la literatura? Notas sobre un debate

Abstract

The article comments on the announcement of the death of literature, diagnosis of strong circulation in the last twenty years. The starting point is the debate opened by this topic in France, to try to outline a perspective that also integrates the United States and Latin America. The article attempts to understand the different conceptions of literature underlying the discourses on the subject: essence, institution, ivory tower, undifferentiated discourse, spectrum, utopia. In conclu- sion, an attempt is made to question what are the crossroads and anguish that are expressed in the idea of the death of literature.
