La “autonomía” literaria desde Latinoamérica: escisión del signo, ocultamiento de lo político
Keywords:
autonomy, sociology of literature, Latin American literature, Pierre Bourdieu, colonialismAbstract
The notion of autonomy is one of the pillars of Pierre Bourdieu's field theory. Other academics have worked on the implications of this notion—with or without references to Bourdieu, in different studies, or have included it in their proposals. Such is the case of, for example, Ángel Rama, Pascale Casanova and even Michael Foucault, among others. In this article I intend, without trying to be exhaustive, to show different ways of analyzing or using the notion in Latin American authors who work on the literature of the region, and how, in general, the notion is associated with the political conditions of cultural production. In the same way, I find in the Latin American authors the sign scission —signifier and significance—as the result of the colonial processes in Latin America.
