Abstract

This article analyzes Jorge Eduardo Eielson’s narrative, particularly his novel El cuerpo de Giulia-no (Giulia-no’s Body, 1971), from the perspective of its formal innovations and its relentless criticism of Lima, the author’s native city. The vision of both Eielson’s literary and artistic work is enriched by a generational contextualization and the appreciation of his fiction, generally ignored by literary criticism.
