Abstract

This article examines a cohort of contemporary trans-baroque Peruvian poets. The thesis is that the trans-baroque is a cultural matrix begun in the seventeenth century in Peru and that remains until now in various discursive forms, but has poetry as its privileged mode of expression. The trans-baroque has remained for centuries with lesser or greater visibility and it coexists with other poetic lines.
