El Inca Garcilaso de la Vega y las redes italianas
Keywords:
Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, Inca Garcilaso's books auction, Italian renaissanceAbstract
I present advances in the investigation of the relations of the Inca Garcilaso with the Italian networks. In the line followed from the inventory of the Library of the Inca, the documentary discovery of the auction of Inca Garcilaso's books, made in the Capitular Archive of the Cathedral of Córdoba by Dr. Amelia de Paz (2018) is of central importance. Since the work carried out by José de la Torre y del Cerro (1935) and José Durand (1948) no major changes had arisen in this regard. The corrections introduced by the new documentation show, among other revelations, that the Italian editions of the Biblioteca del Inca were more numerous and significant than those consigned up to now. On the other hand, the investigation of the social and family networks in which the Inca was inserted, located between Spain and Italy, open up avenues of renewal for Garcilasista studies
