La lógica prehispánica de la materia en Comentarios reales I

Abstract

The work of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega (1539-1616) has been the object of different readings throughout Andean history. At the end of the twentieth century, emerges the interest for the inherited content of the prehispanic period in Comentarios reales I. In this study we will review the marks of Andean numerical thinking, articulated with the indigenous toponymy of the cited work, under the light of the substance’s logic belonging to the camay world. The perception of that substance was encoded by the khipus, quintessence of the Inca Empire and its ways to know the world.
