Algunas implicaciones éticas en las relaciones que tejen los personajes de Tres novelitas burguesas de José Donoso

This article observes certain problematics, enunciated in the relations between characters in Tres novelitas burguesas (1972), by Chilean writer José Donoso. More specifically, those in which the caprice, the look, the responsibility and the construction of the self and the other fulfill an important role. In this analysis I use the theories of Levinas, Butler on regards to him, and of Otto Rank in dialogue, primarily, to articulate the notion of responsibility that anticipates the encounter with alterity, among others. This study intends to demonstrate the moment where alterity befalls, the characters inevitably suffer a change, therefore it will attempt to identify and expose how they do it, in which moments this occurs and the implications it has.
