Abstract

This article explores the “theoretical and practical grounds” of the development of fantasy literature in Peru. After a presentation of the theoretical framework that exists in the country on fantasy in spite of its tradition of realism, and after recalling some examples of fantasy stories that are inserted within a more or less local referent, the analysis of a story by Yeniva Fernández allows to observe a manifestation that is triply original: current, national, and from an author of Peruvian fantasy expression.
