Abstract

To celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Cry of Dolores, the Antologia del Centenario (1910) compiled a series of works belonging to a canon of Mexican literature. The work was then put into question during the political, social and cultural events that occurred immediately after the Mexican Revolution. This article examines the changes in the construction of the Mexican literary canon and how the celebration of different commemorative events highlights the importance of reformulating the national literary landscape taking into account its political and historical motivations
