Abstract

This article focuses on the chronicles of Italy by Abraham Valdelomar, a corpus little attended by critics despite its quality of housing, in a few pages, the main themes and aesthetic concerns of the author from the reflective and stylistic freedom that the journalistic chronicle admits. However, it is not a question of interpreting the trip as a before and after in the aesthetic-literary ideals of the Peruvian writer. This free exploration from far away from the homeland should be analyzed, as we propose, as part of a larger process of creating a new art, an art that is truly representative and capable of forging cultural renewal.
