The Inca Garcilaso (1539-1616) and Luis de Góngora (1561-1627) shared the same living space, the city of Cordoba, at least from 1591 to 1616. In this article documentary evidence shows several aspects of that relationship. For this purpose, four sections are used: domiciles and urban routes, kinship and economic protocols, the bonds of common friendships, and the most relevant of all them, the textual connections. The final aim of this work is to offer a critical and documented update on the historical link between two writers whose remains also lie in the same space: the Mezquita-Cathedral of Cordoba.
