Paralelismos y traducción literaria. Elementos en la poética de Manuel Bolom en Fiesta de la chicharra

Abstract

This article analyzes the categories of parallelism and cyclicity in Sk’inal xikitin: k’opojel yu’un nupunel/ Fiesta de la chicharra (2017), published bilingually (Tsotsil- Spanish), to mark their importance in the structure of this work, as well as in the community’s cultural communication. The lexical elements that create parallelisms are pointed out, as are repetitive suffixes that account for the intonations deployed in Tsotsil ceremonial discourses. The article delves into the relationship of various discursive genres with this literary proposal, underlining some of the difficulties of translating to Spanish a poetic structure based on a structure of parallel composition.
