Music evokes images that end up in the same archive that records the movement of the planets, throughout the history of human knowledge their connections are rejected and confirmed. The novel that I will analyze, A Musical Offering by Luis Sagasti, is inspired by connections rather than differences, in it, musical notes and stars place us before a binding aesthetic experience, an exploration that moves between art, history, and nature accepting each unit as a participant in a cyclical rhythm, circular music, a sound that never ends and that surrounds us. The purpose of this analysis is, on the one hand, to investigate the literary images e with which in this novel a system of sensitivexpansion is created that articulates diverse artistic expressions, objects, historical moments, and natural events of all kinds in the same network or atlas of “common sounds” and, on the other hand, highlighting that musical categories such as variation, harmony, and melody are formal guides and philosophical concerns that invite the reader to expand the interpretation and give continuity to the exercise that the author does.
