La solidaridad y el krausismo

Abstract

The intellectual relationship between the Filipinos and the Spanish krausism helped to shape the aesthetic and literary ideas of those who promoted and wrote in La Solidaridad. The philosophy of Krausism informed the texts of the Filipino writers and their position against the hegemonic structure of the Spanish colonial government. This essay focusses on authors less known today, who, however, were crucial for the development of the reforming ideas for the Filipino people.
